The key to being happy is knowing you have the power to choose what to accept and what to let go. - Dodinsky

Every night entering my room and closing the door, spending time with self - the inner self with those lyrical breezes, I think through things. Things that happened, things that could have happened, and things that are going around, away from any external distractions alone with my thoughts, I think. How do we define happiness? What is happiness? Am I happy? Who is happy? What happiness looks like? What makes me happy? Well, all the answers lie within ourselves as well as around us. What makes me happy might not be a definition of happiness for someone else. And that's okay! It differs from person to person. Happiness is subjective.

Life is surely not a joyride and it has its ups and downs. We all go through our moments of sadness and difficult times. In such situations, we have ourselves and sometimes others as well.

Sometimes it's our inner self that helps us combat and sometimes even other people or things help. In the end, happiness is nothing but choices that we make in our personal life. As human beings, we all desire utmost happiness but the desire is the root course of misery. Happiness is a state where we do not desire, it's a feeling to be found within and around.

Not confronting the past and accepting the present made me a person who was scared to dream of the future. Thinking that this is how it's supposed to be made my life mundane. But I was wrong. I just lost my ways of finding joy and happiness. I lost my inner thoughts. I was getting blinded by circumstances around. I was losing out on self-acceptance and love. And rather than choosing or finding happiness, I was finding ways to escape.

If you’re unhappy no matter what you do or where you reach in life you will still be unhappy.

Work on it. Work on getting better. Everything else will fall into place.

It's not easy, but neither it's too late to find it again-

: Happiness can be found in small things. Happiness is simple. Happiness is solitude. Happiness is acceptance. Happiness is love. Happiness is being kind. Happiness is gratitude. Happiness is living life by our own choices. Happiness is the smell of coffee beans. Happiness is music. Happiness is within me.
