It’s crucial to try on the garment after seeing it on the dress form to see how it fits and sits on the body. After reviewing and addressing the adjustments or shortcomings, it’s important to make a note of them so that changes can be made during the final garment’s construction.

The project involved a complete understanding of the jacket as a garment through historical context and its journey of evolution in today's fashion. Digging deeper into the evolutionary factors gave us a perception of how a garment isn't just about clothing rather it stands as a symbol of opinions, mindsets, revolutions, rebels, wars, and much more. It gave s a perspective of how cultures formed into sub-cultures, aiming towards bringing a change in the society as a whole. Moving forward towards gaining the basic knowledge of a jacket as a structure and a form, the reverse engineering method proved to be very effective and an important task as well. The presentations and masterclasses were also very helpful as they build support for our learning both towards context building and technical aspects. Also,  researching about a brand and looking towards analytics aspects of trend study was a great direction towards ideating for our jackets. I enjoyed the technical inputs of the project and the technical support provided was appreciable  The construction part was challenging and complex but also interesting.
